As promised, here’s my survival guide for first week with my new puppy Winnie— she did well and has learned to sit for a treat. She sat for the vet too. I’m a proud survivor of her 9th week!
I love reading about Winnie. I am getting too old for the puppy intensity (I experienced Greyhound puppies when I volunteered for a rescue, they have INSANE energy) so I live vicariously through your posts.
Adorable, as usual! Winnie has beautiful markings. Her face is so similar to every “doodle” I’ve ever seen - like a sweet stuffed toy! It’s no wonder that doodle mixes are so popular - they’re just so CUTE! Winnie is incredibly photogenic.
Hasn’t she grown already! As they do. Winnie is already beautiful, but she’s clearly going to grow into a beautiful big girl. 🥰🥰💙💙💙
I have a few of Meg as a puppy on my iPad off my old phone, and some when she was an old lady. So then I was looking through Ollie’s pics, too. The daytimes are the worst when Mick’s at work. 💔. He thinks he might get a springer pup when he retires, but that won’t be until after March next year when I finally get my state pension. We’ve both had to wait an extra year; the original plan for equalising and raising the state pension age was accelerated by the bloody Tories 🤬. I don’t want to be without a dog that long. 😔
Please keep the Winnie pics and videos coming: they bring so much joy and some comfort. 🐾🐾🐶😃😃💙💙💙
Diane K24: Indeed, a bladder or bowel accident here or there is only a small nuisance, but the puppy is a little bundle of energy-packed love and innocence that brings you happiness and joy. Arf, arf!
I, like many others, am enthralled with puppies! Thank you, Diane, for sharing her for our vicarious pleasure. 🥰 If she makes my heart sing, I can’t imagine the symphony she must create in yours!
And I know Winnie gives a two paws up: we ARE on the right side of history! 🐾💙
Winnie had such a fight getting that toy away from the other one and out of that puppy bed. She had quite a struggle "but she persisted" as the saying goes.
Puppies and small baby kittens are sheer joy to watch. Thank you for sharing.
I am in love. Young ones of every species remind us of what really matters - LOVE. As trite as that sounds their innocence and willingness to love life with every ounce of their beings is what we were all born knowing but gradually lost sight of. Thank you so much for sharing Winnie and her love with us. My day is always brighter when you do. HUGS!
What a fluffy bundle of joy Winnie Is. The playpen was such a good idea. Hopefully it helps minimize stepping on squeaky toys when you least expect it. Everyday I round up toys all over the house, which just tickles me actually. The Winnie Chronicles are good medicine. Thanks for taking the time to do the updates. Winnie has a big fan club.
Winnie continues to maintain my election sanity. Forget Trump, I’ll check in on Winnie first every day! So pleased she has fluffy stuffed toys. In my work as humane activist some years ago now, discovered these cuddly buddies were very effective in calming lonely or simply “resting” fur babies while you tend to other essentials. They are magic ! Especially in early days. Yet my recently lost 15 year old dog 🐶 loved his fluffy Fox 🦊 forever! ❤️🐶
I had forgotten puppyhood!! I’m exhausted!! But she is adorable!!! And all works toward the common goal of love and dogs!!
