Ready for Cataract Surgery!
Thousands of people have cataract surgery. Monday is my day for the right eye, and the following Monday will be the left eye. Whoopee x 2!
The next two Mondays will be cataract Mondays. At my last eye check, I had difficulty reading below the 4th line unlike all previous appointments. It was time.
I had noticed over the last 6 months that I had difficulty reading the morning paper and my favorite comics. I resorted to using the magnifier on my phone for small print. My husband uses captions in the television because his hearing is shot. I began to realize I could barely read the captions without squinting.
Substack makes it easy to listen as you read along with your favorite writers. That has been a good fix for me. My iPhone and iPad are wonderful tools in seeing with the night option. I am hopeful in a month, I can see better even if I still need glasses to correct my astigmatism. Light and dark have always been issues for me.
Day 3 after surgery—I have just realized everyone looks prettier or handsome if I shut the unoperated eye. WOW! I’m afraid everyone will be greater with 2 super-eyes! 😎 Also, no joke, the blues are outstandingly gorgeous! Just saying! 💙
That's on my list and I hope to get it done in a few months. My reading prescription is so strong and still can't read small print. I hope it all went wonderfully!
