This is so true. I am so turned off by the utter venom and brutality of some (many) Trump supporters, as well as Trump himself. That is one reason why Biden has been such a welcome breath of fresh air. Civility!

He’s a good guy, but I find this ageism argument another attempt to hate everyone on Medicare—which the Trumpians want you to dismantle in time. They lay in wait…

Thank you! Yes! And Joyce Vance’s substack “Civil Discourse” says it well!”

Paul Wittenberger: My best wishes on the eye surgery.

My well-loved wife, Nancy, used to be myopic with retinal problems. We picked ophthalmologists from top medical schools, and she has had treatments for twenty years. Result: Her eyes are healthy and she sees almost 20-20.

Eyes can require a lot of care. It is absolutely amazing what the ophthalmic medical science has developed in the last 30 years. Miraculous.

I dearly hope that you have similar results, because with modern medicine there is great hope.

Have a good recovery!

(The software in Substack is weird. Below, you'll see two comments from me: "deleted", "deleted". Somehow, my message to you got duplicated and posted twice. So I tried to eliminate the redundancy, by deleting one msg. Instead it deleted both of them and left the remark, "deleted". So now, Substack shows I made the same comment three times! Go figure.)

Oh, well, if it looks like I posted three times, what the . . .: To wish you well on critical eye surgery is WORTH three well-wishes!

So, if, three times: May it go as well for you as I have experienced with my wife, Nancy, the Love-of-My-Life, because if it does, you will take joy in that most beautiful miracle: The Miracle of Sight.

Consider the slow death of decency in our decades long immersion in screaming and yelling. (So-called) commentators in the (so-called) world of news. You are right on the money!
