As I am listening to Nat King I am looking out my window at sideways rain with strong winds during this afternoon thunderstorm that was not forecast. I miss the color of the changing leaves.

We have had a droughty summer, hot and dry. I think our leaves will drop fast rather than colorfully and slowly. Our new pup thinks she’s a mulcher—she take a leaf and loves to hear the crinkle when she attacks it🤣

Like Nat King Cole, not so fond of Clapton who treats women badly.

He’s also a racist and an anti-vaxxer.

I've never heard this Clapton version! And who wouldn't love Nat King Cole! ❤️ Then, I offer you Eva Cassidy here...she sadly passed away in 1996 of breast cancer, but I adore her voice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXBNlApwh0c

She’s good—a modernized version. Thanks for the link!💕

Love this song! I had never heard Clapton’s version before. We are still very green here on the NH Seacoast. It may be a late autumn, though quite a few yellow and orange leaves fell to the ground today (it’s windy). The burning bushes (Euonymus) we have all over our yard are just starting to turn their glorious red!

Ours are starting to turn, Sally. The Clapton version was new to me.

Coke and Clapton songs: “days grow long” should be shorter in fall. Nights are long. Remember autumn leaves , pencil trace around edges and color then with crayons or paint inside on cold blustery days. Thanks for your sharing.
