Bursting Donnie’s Lifelong Fantasy Bubble
The end result of living a spoiled, privileged life in a bubble is living a child-adult life in a bubble harder to break because the bubble enablers have been sucked into the bubble.
In court this week we have seen a battle between the Bubble Trump Team and the Bubble-bursting judge and prosecutors with unrefutable evidence against the Bubble Trump Family Fraudsters.
It all started with DJT, a spoiled brat In a bubble who has dodged punishment for little and big offenses his entire life. On his journey, he sucked in anyone he could by his bombast and lies. And money.
if you’ve ever been a bubble gum expert blower, you know that the bubble often takes on a life of its own and can get out of control quickly. DJT is a blowhard par excellence, but he has become gummed up in his own bubble of lies with many enablers sucked into his bubble. Until now. The bubble is ready to implode and spew out his built-up bile instead of his promised golden eggs.
That is what we are seeing in NY court: defendant DJT’s built up bubble bile spewing out at the judge and prosecutors.
He must never be allowed to do his “retribution” bubble routine in the US.
In many ways, I see this upcoming election cycle as less about convincing independent centrists and moderate republicans to vote blue.
It’s more about Democratic leaders demonstrating bipartisanship - giving moderate Republicans support where we can find common ground and thus building some measure of trust in our government processes in Republican voters and in turn in moderate Republicans to see that Democrats fight fair.
The Republican Party is in the middle of its own internal (un)civil war - and the more we as Dems and independent centrists demonize and shame Republican voters, the more they retreat - to the far right.
That’s the politics of fear, and autocrats like Trump and Christian Nationalist theocracy advocates like Mike Johnson feed on fear.
The worst thing we can do is make them feel desperate and afraid.
IMHO, the best thing we can do is act and talk like responsible, well -meaning, reasonable adults
Nice analogy Diane and I agree. These people are throwing temper tantrums about their entitled lives while most Americans struggle. It is unconscionable.
